Lynne Yamamoto is an artist who was born in Hawai'i in 1961. She presented this project entitled Smooth Cayenne in 2003. The title of the exhibiiton is named for the type of pineapple commonly grown at plantations in Hawaii. Smooth Cayenne is a two room installation project that examines the experience and impact of commercial pineapple agriculture on land and people. photo credit: Mattress Factory
