ala wai canal 1920 to 1928

In this neighborhood there were these bungalows. Sometimes four to each lot. At night the families would gather around a TV set in the front yard, propped up on the trunk of a chopped down coconut tree. The tree was chopped down already. Not like they chopped it down for the TV or anything. I guess at the time only few people had TVs so lots of people would hang out and watch together. Cool, was outside.
